Parks and Trails

Moran Preserve

In 2011, Friends of Worcester assisted in the work toward preservation of the 81 acre Moran property, which adjoins Evansburg State Park on Grange Road.

The publicly accessible, scenic wooded Moran Trail on the property, connects Methacton High School to the Evansburg State Park's trail system at Mill Road.

A small parking lot is available at the entrance to the Moran Trail at Grange Avenue and Mill Road.

Zacharias Trail

Worcester Township worked proactively over several decades to secure open space for the Zacharias Trail, which runs from Heebner Park along the Zacharias Creek to Green Hill Road

Parking for the Zacharias Trail is available on Green Hill Road and at Heebner Park.

In 2020, funding was secured to extend the Zacharias Trail into Evansburg State Park.

In 2018 Worcester Township proposed selling off & develop 3 Worcester open space lots along the Zacharias Trail corridor came before the Supervisors, Friends of Worcester considered these lots valuable community open space.

The Supervisors tabled the matter, and it has not been revisited since
