Growing Greener Zoning

In 2006, Worcester passed a “Growing Greener” Zoning Ordinance.

This Ordinance provides for the preservation as open space of at least half the acreage of most proposed developments of residential properties over 8 acres.

Thanks to Growing Greener, Worcester has retained open space as part of the development process

Whitehall Estates

During the approval of the Whitehall Estates development in 2018, the Township put development restrictions on “Our Farm” - an approximately 50 acre horse farm property on Potshop Road - to satisfy the Growing Greener open space requirements.
